"Be the change you wish to see in the world."

We are all being presented with a choice at this time: evolve or repeat. Are we going to choose to keep repeating old, unfulfilling karmic cycles of violence, division, fear, manipulation, and pain or are we going to choose to evolve and live from our soul instead of our ego? Are we going to continue the old ways of being or are we going to choose love, unity, sovereignty, and healing?
Many people say they want change, they want justice, peace, equality, and love, but are they willing to do the inner work and healing on themselves? Are they willing to choose and act from love, even when it is difficult? This is a choice each person must make for themselves. You cannot change others or try to make this choice for them (and you shouldn’t want to). You cannot do the work for someone else. The only person you can control is yourself. So if you want change, BE the change. It starts within each of us.
“The world is changed by your example, not your opinion.” -- Paulo Coelho
There is a lot of anger, fear, and grief being brought up in the world today. These are normal human emotions to feel and experience and it is okay to feel anger, pain, fear, or grief in response to wounds or traumas you have endured or when you witness what you perceive to be injustice in the world. The problem comes when you then make choices and take action (especially against or towards others) out of that anger, pain, fear, or extreme grief or when you start to justify others taking action out of these emotions. If you take action from these emotions you are only perpetuating the same cycles and the same behaviors that caused your wound or led to the injustice committed against others in the first place.
We are meant to feel these emotions and release them (in a healthy, constructive way) to heal. We are not meant to hang onto or attach ourselves to these emotions. If you suppress these emotions or bury them, they are always there lurking beneath the surface influencing your choices and actions unconsciously and suppressing emotions can actually lead to physical disease in the body. If you make choices and take action against others due to your own wounds, you continue the same karmic loop and will be presented with the same types of situations in varying forms until you address the core issue, heal and release it, and choose to evolve and break the cycle. We are meant to heal ourselves and our wounds and traumas (including ancestral wounds) so that we stop projecting our wounds onto others and stop continuing the same painful, karmic cycles over and over. This is not an easy process and can sometimes be painful in itself as you become aware of all your wounds and patterns born from them, but it is worth it. It allows you to free yourself from the shackles of old cycles and patterns that no longer serve you. Healing is the ultimate act of self-love.
“How people treat you is their karma. How you react is yours.” — Wayne Dyer

The universe operates on energy and vibration. It is going to match whatever energy and vibration you are putting out. You cannot fake your energy and vibration. Even if you can trick others, you cannot trick the Universe. The karma will always come back around. If you are acting or choosing out of anger, hate, pride, fear, lack, or other egoic mindsets, that is exactly what you will attract back to you--the same cycles, the same lessons. Ultimately, you only end up hurting yourself and holding yourself back by responding in this way; you will only accumulate more negative karma for yourself. Let the person that hurt you or others deal with their own karma and lessons. If you act out of love, peace, compassion, and kindness, you will create more of the same and you will liberate yourself from the old cycles; you will create new, more fulfilling and high vibrational cycles aligned to your soul.
We should be mindful that our intentions, choices, and actions are in alignment with our soul and not our ego. Our intentions and actions must also align with each other. For example, if you say you want justice for a victim of violence (your intention) but then turn around and engage in violence against others or justify violence against others as a valid response to the original injustice (your action), your intentions and actions are not in alignment. In that case, are you really seeking justice or are you seeking revenge? Are you seeking justice or are you seeking to hurt others the way you have been hurt thinking that will somehow bring about change? We should be mindful that we do not allow ourselves to become what we claim we despise; we may have good intentions but we should be mindful that we do not allow ourselves to start to embody the very same behavior that we are claiming we stand against. Violence begets violence, hate begets hate, anger begets anger. The saying “An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind,” rings true. You break the cycles by choosing differently and aligning your choices, actions, and life with your soul and with love.
“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” — Martin Luther King Jr.
Unfortunately, there are forces, energies, and entities in this world that do their best to influence people to stay stuck in the matrix of the same old unfulfilling karmic loops and to make choices and take action from ego instead of soul. These entities and people are persistent and often operate under a veil of deception. They are constantly seeking to lead us away from our own souls, away from our divinity, away from unity, and away from love. Be mindful of those you surround yourself with and those you allow to influence you. Remember that ultimately the power and choice is always yours. Take your power back. Heal. Choose a better way. Choose love. Break the cycle. Be the change.
